Another Summer Splash
“This was one of the best summer experiences I have ever had and I look forward to coming back next year,” a young man commented after enjoying a fun weekend in Central Wisconsin sponsored by the Jesuit vocation office in mid-June.
16 students from around the Midwest attended Summer Splash, which takes place every year at Loyola Villa, a summer vacation house for the Society of Jesus on the beautiful Chain O’ Lakes near Waupaca, Wisconsin.
The young men shared fun, faith, and friendship while learning about the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits). Days included Mass, group sessions and lots fun on the lakes —and enjoying great home cooked meals prepared by Br. Al Dorsey. One attendee commented “The schedule was perfectly spaced and timed out—just the right amount of time for fun and free leisure and structure through prayer.” Several Jesuits helped to host the event.
